don't blog that!

I meant to blog every day,
but somehow it just hasn’t worked out.
Things seemed to get in the way –
they were all more important, no doubt.

But I need to keep my commitment now,
even though content I lack.
I’m going to show you how
I pretend to be a blogger, and not a hack.

The essential thing is to keep posting,
24/7/365.
To reassure your readers that you aren’t yet ghosting,
that you are still alive.

It doesn’t mater what you have to say,
your only fan will cheer out loud.
After all, she checks back every day –
just trust me, your mother will be proud.

(Note: I was trying to say your mom is your only fan.  Apparently that is not obvious.  If this wasn’t filler and didn’t take me 10 min to write, I’d find some way to fix it…. but I’m too lazy.)
